Chantilly Lace and Southern Sun Stables

Chantilly Lace is a six-year-old Spotted Mountain Horse mare who has won the International SMH Park Pleasure Championship three years in a row; 2004, 2005, and 2006.

 

I purchased Chantilly Lace as a three-year-old after seeing her ridden by my trainer Conrad Skidmore. I am a big fan of the high-stepping park pleasure horses, so once I found out she was for sale I had to have her.

 

In the three years that I have owned her, she has accumulated an impressive number of state championships in Florida, North and South Carolina, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

 

Chantilly is currently retired as a broodmare at Southern Sun Stables in Brooksville, Florida. Southern Sun Stables, with locations in Brooksville, Florida and Stanton, Kentucky, is a training and breeding facility established to breed and develop quality horses for the show ring.
