The Money
Man
The Colletts of Sunset Ridge have
been breeding, riding, and showing Mountain horses for several
years. Being a small farm, they never imagined there would be a
stallion who would have a place in their heart and lives like their
wonderful Kentucky Mountain stallion, Stroker, however, one is
getting very close.
Since the Colletts purchased this
three month old, chocolate colt from their friend and neighbor,
Victor Hall, the colt has been making his place in their lives. From
the time it played in the fields with the other horses, to going to
a few shows in 2004 as a weanling and winning some blue ribbons, to
the phone calls from their trainer, Greg Brewer, saying, “He sure is
doing good!!” to “I’m starting to feel it!!” , to the next phone
call saying, “You’ve got to come watch, I believe this one is going
to make it.”
Ever since then Money Man has been
hitting the show ring, and has never failed to catch the eye of his
audience. From gaining blue ribbons at the Spring Jubilee at the
Horse Park to winning the blue again at the state show at
Harrodsburg. He has also won the two-year-old class at the Drill
Team Show in Owingsville, the Key Club Show in Prestonsburg, and the
Summer Classic in West Liberty.
It is hard to believe that this is
only the beginning for It’s Just Money, A.K.A., The Money Man. He is
looking forward to showing at the 2nd Annual
Kentucky Mountain International Show!! Also look for Madison on his
mom, Black Satin, in the ring!!
